    Malaria story: Sri Lanka is Malaria Free!










    The fight against malaria has come a long way since that time. Some countries using the knowledge we have today have been able to completely remove malaria from their region. Let us see how one such country – Sri Lanka did this.

    Sri Lanka implemented all the techniques - people prevented themselves from mosquito bite, killed mosquito larvae and adult mosquitoes, detected malaria patients and provided treatment for malaria as soon as possible.
    In 2016 Sri Lanka was declared ‘malaria free’.
